Frederick Dulles graduated from Harvard College in 1964 with an A.B. (with honors in Economics). He earned his J.D. and M.B.A. (Finance) degrees from Columbia University in 1968. He served as a U.S. Naval officer for three years. For eight years he worked as an associate attorney with Shearman & Sterling in New York and Paris. He then spent 12 years with Philip Morris, first in New York and then in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he was the Regional Counsel and Legal Director for Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Switzerland.

Since 1993, Frederick has been in private law practice in Switzerland, Russia, London, and the United States. He has acted as a mediator in business and commercial matters. Frederick Dulles has lived and worked abroad for 18 years - in France, Switzerland and England - and he has worked on location in over 30 countries in West, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

He is fluent in French and has knowledge of Dutch, German and Spanish. Frederick Dulles is licensed to practice law in New York, the District of Columbia and South Carolina.

Frederick is a Visiting Professor teaching negotiation strategies to MBA students at The Citadel School of Business Administration; he is also a member of the School's Advisory Board. At the Charleston School of Law, Frederick has taught international law as an Adjunct Professor. Since 2001, he has been an Independent Trustee of the Massachusetts Financial Services (MFS) / Sun Life Compass Mutual Funds Group in Boston. He is licensed as a real estate broker in New York and South Carolina. He is a Trustee and Secretary of the Free Enterprise Foundation, Inc., an academic business institute that inspires and promotes responsible and ethical practices in the global economy.
